About the Role
This executive-level position will oversee global ocean procurement, working in close alignment with the Global CEO and U.S. CEO. Based in Miami, you will own carrier relationships, secure competitive pricing structures, and ensure alignment between procurement and commercial teams across the U.S. and Canadian markets. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of the business, requiring both strategic leadership and the flexibility to step in hands-on when challenges demand it.

Based in Miami, you will own carrier relationships, secure competitive pricing structures, and ensure alignment between procurement and commercial teams across the U.S. and Canadian markets. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of the business, requiring both strategic leadership and the flexibility to step in hands-on when challenges demand it.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations and manage executive-level relationships with major carriers (CMA, MSC, Hapag, ZIM, and others).
- Set procurement strategy across priority trade lanes:
- Far East to U.S., Canada, Mediterranean (Italy), and North Europe (France).
- India to U.S. and Canada.
- Europe to U.S. and Canada.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team to align procurement programs with client needs.
- Act as a senior escalation point for urgent global issues, including time-sensitive coordination with overseas partners.
- Secure competitive rates and sustainable capacity solutions to fuel growth.
- Deliver market intelligence and strategic insights directly to global leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Deep knowledge of the ocean freight industry and global trade lane dynamics.
- Established network with carriers at senior decision-making levels.
- Strong track record in procurement leadership and high-value carrier negotiations.
- Hands-on, solution-driven approach with flexibility to operate across global time zones.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to partner effectively across sales and operations.
- Must be based in Miami, FL.
