About the Role

This is a high-impact sales role focused on winning new business and expanding presence across the North East U.S. market. As Business Development Manager, you’ll sell international air and ocean freight services (primarily transpacific trade lanes) to importers and exporters. You’ll benefit from strong overseas support and the autonomy to shape your territory. Ideal for someone looking for a nimble, well-resourced environment where performance is recognized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth plan focused on new client acquisition

  • Prospect, qualify, and close mid-sized to large international freight accounts

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consultative selling

  • Collaborate with overseas agents and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions

  • Track pipeline activity, report forecasts, and meet/exceed revenue targets

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales, preferably with NVOCC exposure

  • Proven success selling air and/or ocean freight services

  • Strong knowledge of international logistics and U.S. import/export market dynamics

  • Based in the North East (e.g., NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA) with ability to travel locally

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial sales environment
