About the Role

The Charlotte branch is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand their regional client portfolio across air and ocean freight. This role is designed for a sales professional with a proven track record in international forwarding who can manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and presentations through to closing and onboarding. With strong operational backing and leadership support, the position offers the autonomy to drive growth in one of the company’s key U.S. markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to secure new business in air and ocean freight.

  • Identify, pursue, and close opportunities with regional and national accounts.

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service delivery.

  • Manage sales pipeline, reporting, and forecasting activities effectively.

  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.


Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding.

  • Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight products; domestic and project logistics exposure is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to generate, qualify, and close business opportunities.

  • Established network within the Charlotte market preferred.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
