Business Development Manager
Location: San Francisco or Los Angeles
Salary: $85,000 + Commission + Benefits
We are working with a global freight forwarder who is expanding their Furniture & Interiors Logistics division and is looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the West Coast.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a niche, high-value vertical, focusing on high-end furniture, interior design, and white-glove logistics, with the backing and infrastructure of a global logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development across the furniture, interiors, and hospitality sectors
- Target and win new clients including:
- Furniture manufacturers & dealers
- Interior designers & architectural firms
- Fit-out specialists & project managers
- Build and develop a strong pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, and client acquisition
- Sell end-to-end logistics solutions, including:
- International freight (Air & Ocean)
- White-glove delivery & final mile
- Installation and FF&E project logistics
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to closing and onboarding
- Work closely with operations teams to deliver a high-touch, project-based service
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Business Development / Sales within freight forwarding or logistics
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business
- Experience selling into furniture, interiors, hospitality, or project-based environments is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of white-glove logistics, FF&E, or final mile delivery is a strong plus
- Ability to operate in a consultative, solution-led sales environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with high-end clients
