Business Development Manager

Air & Sea Field Sales – South West Germany / Basel Region

Location: Villingen-Schwenningen / Freiburg Area (with regional coverage across South West Germany & Basel)

Altius is currently partnering with a global freight forwarder in the search for an experienced Air & Sea Field Sales Professional to join their team in the South West region of Germany. This is a key commercial role focused on driving new business development across both Airfreight and Seafreight solutions, with coverage extending from Villingen-Schwenningen/Freiburg through to the Basel region.

The company is well-established globally with a strong operational backbone and reputation in the market, making this an excellent opportunity for a sales-driven professional with a solid customer network and deep understanding of international forwarding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and win new business opportunities across air and sea freight
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing
• Develop strong relationships with prospective clients across South West Germany and Basel
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations
• Regular client visits across the assigned region

Candidate Profile:

• Proven track record in field sales within freight forwarding (air & sea)
• Strong knowledge of the South West Germany market (Freiburg, Villingen-Schwenningen, etc.) and/or Basel region
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident in client-facing environments
• Fluent in German, with professional English skills

Package:

• Salary depending on experience
