Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships within the North Rhine region. This role is focused on both air and sea freight solutions, working closely with internal operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive growth in air and sea freight services.
- Identify, target, and secure new customers across diverse industry verticals in the North Rhine region.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing accounts, ensuring strong customer retention and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal operations and product teams to design tailored solutions for clients.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales and revenue targets.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activity.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record (minimum 3–5 years) in sales/business development within freight forwarding, with a strong focus on air and sea freight.
- Established network of contacts in the North Rhine region is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify, negotiate, and close business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
