Air Import Clerk
Location: Nuremberg
Salary: €45,000 – €55,000 (depending on experience)
Altius Talent is working with a midsized global freight forwarder looking to strengthen their team in Nuremberg with the addition of an Air Import Clerk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid customs clearance knowledge who wants to play a key role in growing a customs division within a well-supported branch environment.

Altius Talent is working with a midsized global freight forwarder looking to strengthen their team in Nuremberg with the addition of an Air Import Clerk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid customs clearance knowledge who wants to play a key role in growing a customs division within a well-supported branch environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full airfreight import operations from arrival to final delivery
- Process and manage customs clearance documentation in line with German and EU regulations
- Act as a key support in developing and expanding the customs clearance function
- Communicate with customers, airlines, customs authorities, and internal departments
- Ensure all import data is accurately entered into CargoWise
- Collaborate closely with a small team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Team Setup:
- 2 operational staff (1 import, 1 export)
- 1 Branch Manager
- 1 Sales Executive
Requirements:
- Experience in airfreight import operations
- Strong working knowledge of customs processes
- Familiarity with CargoWise preferred
- Motivated to grow into a more senior customs-related role over time
- Strong communication skills – fluent German not required B level is sufficient
- Detail-oriented and team-focused personality
