Our client is an international freight forwarder providing tailored Air, Ocean, and Domestic transportation solutions across global markets. With continued growth across the U.S. operation, they are now looking to add an Air Import & Domestic Coordinator to their Downtown Chicago office.

Position Overview
The Air Import & Domestic Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day Air Import shipments alongside coordinating Domestic transportation moves across the U.S.
This role requires a detail-oriented operations professional who is confident handling shipments from A-Z, communicating with customers and carriers, and working within CargoWise on a daily basis.
The business is looking for someone hands-on, proactive, and eager to grow within the company long term.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage Air Import shipments from origin through final delivery
- Arrange and monitor Domestic transportation shipments across the U.S.
- Communicate with airlines, truckers, agents, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and updates
- Prepare and process shipment documentation, billing, and operational files accurately
- Ensure all shipments are handled in compliance with company procedures and customer requirements
- Track shipments proactively and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate shipment records within CargoWise
- Build strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments
- Support the team across additional operational functions as the business continues to grow
Requirements
- Previous experience within Air Import and/or Domestic Freight Coordination
- Experience working for an international freight forwarder or logistics provider
- Strong working knowledge of CargoWise is required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
