Position Summary
The Air Export Coordinator manages international air export shipments from booking through final delivery, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, carrier regulations, and internal operating procedures. The role coordinates documentation, customs processes, airline bookings, and communication with customers, overseas offices, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end air export shipments across direct, routed, and agent-controlled accounts.

Prepare and process MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export documentation.

Review and execute Shipper's Letters of Instruction in accordance with customer requirements.

File AES submissions and ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations.

Coordinate cargo bookings with airlines, trucking providers, warehouses, and overseas partners.

Monitor shipment milestones and provide proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders.

Manage billing activities, cost allocations, accruals, and file closure procedures.

Resolve operational issues relating to delays, documentation discrepancies, and carrier exceptions.

Maintain KPI performance relating to on-time departures, invoicing accuracy, and customer service standards.

Support spot quotations and operational pricing requests when required.
Required Experience
-
3+ years of international air freight forwarding experience.

Strong knowledge of U.S. air export operations and documentation requirements.

Experience with AES filings and export compliance procedures.

Understanding of Incoterms, IATA regulations, and airline routing processes.

Experience coordinating with overseas agents and global forwarding networks.

Proficiency with CargoWise or comparable freight forwarding platforms.
Preferred Qualifications

Hazmat certification for air freight operations.

Experience managing project cargo or time-critical shipments.

Knowledge of customs documentation and multimodal transportation processes.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration.
