Our client is a well-established international freight forwarder with a strong reputation for delivering reliable global logistics solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Air Export Operator to their Miami office.

The Role

As an Air Export Operator, you will be responsible for handling international air export shipments from A-Z, ensuring every shipment is managed accurately, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements and airline regulations.

Working closely with customers, overseas offices, airlines, and transport providers, you'll play a key role in ensuring shipments move seamlessly from booking through to final departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete air export process from booking through to departure.
• Coordinate international shipments with airlines, customers, overseas agents, and transport providers.
• Prepare and process all export documentation, including House and Master Air Waybills.
• Arrange cargo collections and bookings with airlines.
• Ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, and international export regulations.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any operational issues.
• Provide regular shipment updates and outstanding customer service.
• Liaise with customs brokers, warehouses, and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
• Invoice files accurately and ensure timely file closure.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Air Export Freight Forwarding.
• Experience managing the full A-Z air export process.
• Strong understanding of international air freight documentation and procedures.
• Knowledge of TSA and airline security requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative operations team.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
