Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in international freight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects in the air and ocean freight sectors.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, utilizing your transferable book of business to expand the customer base.
- Present tailored solutions to meet customer needs and close sales effectively.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the international freight forwarding industry, with a strong focus on air and ocean logistics.
- Proven track record of achieving gross profit success and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong hunter mentality with a transferable book of business in the logistics sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and trends related to international freight forwarding.
