Our client is a well-established international freight forwarder with a strong reputation for delivering comprehensive global logistics solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Manager to lead their brokerage operations and ensure compliance excellence.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Customs Brokerage Manager to oversee all aspects of customs clearance for import and export shipments. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of customs regulations, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day customs brokerage operations ensuring timely and accurate customs clearance.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of customs brokers and support staff.

Ensure full compliance with all U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Partner Government Agencies (PGA), and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Oversee filing of entries, audits, post-summary corrections, and compliance reporting.

Serve as the subject matter expert on customs regulations, HTS classifications, and trade compliance issues.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and internal departments.

Monitor performance metrics (clearance times, compliance rates, audit results) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Stay updated on changing trade regulations, free trade agreements, and customs policies.
Qualifications:

5+ years of customs brokerage experience within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.

Valid Customs Broker License (required).

Proven leadership and team management experience.

In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, HTS classifications, PGA filings, and trade compliance.

Experience with customs brokerage systems (e.g., ACE, ABI) and freight forwarding software.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with CTPAT, bonded warehouse operations, and duty drawback programs.

Familiarity with global trade compliance, including international regulations.

Ability to lead process improvement and automation initiatives.
