Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 base + company car + bonus scheme
We are partnering with a midsized freight forwarder to find an air & ocean Sales Manager to join their growing team in the Netherlands. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small sales team and drive new business across the Netherlands and even Belgium.
The Role:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small, motivated team of 2 internal sales and 1 external sales professional. Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Business Development: Proactively hunt for new air and ocean freight opportunities, building a strong pipeline of clients.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans to achieve and exceed targets. Identify growth opportunities across the Netherlands and extend coverage into Belgium.
- Client Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor sales metrics, prepare performance reports, and present findings to senior management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record in sales management within the freight forwarding industry.
- Strong experience in air and ocean freight sales, with a hunter mindset.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to travel across the Netherlands and Belgium.
